2026 Boudhanath Kora - Prayers and Aspirations for World Peace and Universal Well-Being

We invite you to join us at the historically significant wish-fulfilling Boudhanath Stupa

To stand together in prayer, holding the aspiration for peace and universal well-being

for yourself, your family, and all sentient beings throughout the world.


 

 

Participation Guideline

 

1. Walking the Kora :

Please fill out the registration form before Oct 20, 2026.


Please arrange for your own transportation and accommodation.

Please check in at Dilyak Monastery between October 24 – November 5

(Check-in time will be announced separately.)


After check-in, you will receive the prayer package prepared by The Karmapa Center 16.

The package will include three prayer cards blessed during the Guru Rinpoche Consecration Puja at The Karmapa Center 16, a scarf, vitamin C, glucose, a saffron roll-on stick, saffron patches, and a Year of Horse badge.

The prayer package are limited to the first 200 registrants.




According to tradition,

113 circumambulations are the most auspicious, wish-fulfilling number of kora, 

which you may complete in multiple sessions.

Please record the number of your circumambulations.

Ceremony:


After completing the kora, 

We recite the dedication prayer for this meritorious deed, 

For the benefit of all beings. 


 

2. Supporting the Kora

For those unable to walk the Kora, you may wish to sponsor someone who is participating. 


Sponsorship is calculated by rounds of kora: 

One round is NT$60 (about US$2).

The practitioners aim to complete 113 rounds of kora for full dedication.

Regardless of the number of rounds you sponsor,

you will receive a prayer card blessed during the Guru Rinpoche Consecration Puja at the Karmapa Center 16.

If you wish to support 113 rounds of kora, you will receive 3 cards.

You may only participate once.  A total limit of 300 cards is available.


The accumulated sponsorship funds will be dedicated to the construction of the stupa for His Holiness, the 16th Karmapa, at Karmapa Center 16, in Zion, IL. The Center is a sacred pure land for the world.


 

**Upon the successful completion of the event,

Dilyak Monastery will make lamp offering for all Kora participants and sponsors.**
